Those College Years: March 2010

Man this year has been pretty great so far. I hadn't been home for over a month, so I went home and I got rid of my teenage years. 20 years old now...1 more year and then its all downhill...right dad?..."Sam, after 21 what do you celebrate?..there is nothing left". anyways, so I went home. And then after that me and George had been saving up for a 3 day weekend to go see the comedian Lewis Black. He is this 61 year old man, who basically just yells at everything, and he is pretty hilarious. We went everywhere in Atlanta we could for 3 days and now I'm back at school. ANYWAYS...i have about...a billion pictures.

Just when I thought I was starting to miss this dog.......disgusting.

Hadn't see this girl in forever either, Rachel and I...shes about 15 pounds lighter and I look like Amelia Airheart in my mothers jacket. cool kids.

My mom took me to our place, called Amelies? i think. anyways its pretty cool..that would be here over there with the blonde hair. I'd put her picture in here but I don't think she would like the raccoon look she was sporting when I took it. haha.

Then off to the Martins to hang with my girls

Where Rachel had gotten me the best frickin cake EVERRRR!!

And Hobb...her gift was...well being there. lol

Then I went home to say goodbye to my mom, where my dad made us some "Royal Flush" shots

Then back to the martins where they got me some awesome gifts

Um..is that an ALVIN sweatshirt from ALVIN and the chipmunks!?!?!..YES. YES IT IS. and its mine and its awesome and i wear it everyday!! she got me a "Let's Go to the Mall" poster from How I Met Your Mother. Can't wait to hang it up in the new apartment, whenever thats gonna be.

So yea, I was pretty happy. kind of sad to leave charlotte so soon, knowing it would be a while till I got to go back. But coming home to George who was amazingly sweet to me, made it all worth it.

He attempted to make me a cake, but put the parts together too soon so it didn't cool. we now refer to it as his "crumble cake". Which was delicious by the way, having it fall apart like that just made it even cuter. He also made me a candlelight dinner in the apartment and took me to see the movie "Valentine's Day" all just for my birthday. This has been an incredible year for me :)

So. Midterm break lasted all of a 5 day weekend, and the day everyone had to leave to go home, and 3 days before Atlanta...THIS happened.

The snow came and went all within the same day. I think it was like 3 inches or something, but still. So we went into hybernation all day, luckly didn't have to work.

We worked for a couple days, but before we knew it it was time for the road trip!!!!

Could not have been a prettier weekend, by the way.

First we went to the World of CocaCola...which if you have ever been to, makes coke taste different for the rest of your life. I find myself greatful.

At the end of the tour they had all the coke products from around the world set up, all 64 flavors. George tried all of them...I wouldn't. I figured, we are AMERICA...sooo we probably got the better soda andddd....I was right.

Coke bottles we got to take home, coming from the ceiling.

In Orlando there is a little coke hut that lets u try some of the products from other countries...one in particuliar struck me the wrong way...and George had been before and the one stuck out of his mind too...

BEVERLY. EW...there is no way in hell they could sell that here, it si the grossest thing ever. italians are strange.

Of course, knowingly George tried it again anyway. As you can see he just loved it.

Finally I found my homebase. ahh DIET COKE!!

Got to take a bottle home

Then we went towards CNN for a tour

And through the olympic park

We were watching CNN on the big screen TVs in there and we saw this anchor lady on for like...45minutes...then a couple seconds later after she finished and they traded anchors we saw her coming down the stairs. weirrddd.

Of course they didnt let us take pictures during the tour.

But it was still pretty cool to see all these people working in there, doing exactly what I want to do.

Then we went to Maggioni's for dinner and to see Lewis Black

Ahhh diet coke.

And of course... when your on vacation...

annnd we finally found the SHAMROCK SHAKE. for those of u who dont know, this is a milkshake released by Mcdonalds for random parts of the US in march in the 80s, but for some reason there are none in NC.
