Life is a Highway

So I sware my life was the highway this week.
For my fallbreak, I traveled to New Jersey to be with George on his birthday and see his family.
We ended up also going to some unplanned places as well.
Total within 6 days and 5 nights I went to New Jersey, Philadephia, 6 flags, haunted hay ride, Virgina, and for absolutely no reason at all...Washington D.C.
So you can imagine I have like a billion pictures I uploaded on this thing.

packin up the car

and gettin ready for our first drive...7 hours 2 Williamsburg, VA

Richmond, VA skyline.. best shot i could get while we were driving

We finally made it and decided to go for a walk out in Williamsburg down by the dock, the moon and stars were so pretty but it was so cold!!

SOOOOO tired. Got up at 9 or something the next day to finish the trip to NJ..5 hours.

We went through a lot of states along the way

And had to stop to pay tolls...lame.ahh...one day I will make my return!!

After a long drive we finally made it

...anddddd George itched his eye after being around all their animals at the house :(

But this dog...is so cute.

The second night we went to Six Flags, during Fright Fest

During Fright Fest they have a bunch of people out dressed at zombies to come and try to scare you.

We went to White Castle later on that night..which was pretty good

And I met one of his friends from home, Perez.

We went to the mall in Philadelphia...where i thought his guy had a pointless job..

Philadelphia

We went on a tour while were were there of Independence Hall.

And I had my first offical Philly Cheesestake....but I had some problems...

Have you guys ever seen the Soup Nazi? Well. In the show if you don't order the correct way then.... NO SOUP FOR YOU.

George informed me about half way through the line there was a correct way to order and if you didn't order correctly they kick you to the back of the line...

...and the line was all the way in the middle of the street.

See I'm not makin this shit up.

But....

I will say...it was probably the best cheesestake I will ever have in my entire life.

We saw a lot of national monuments

And the Liberty Bell.

Independence Hall was amazing.

..I tried to pull a Robin and be all artistic.

Didn't work.

:)

We got to see where the Declaration of Independence was signed.

...I will also add...we woke up at like 8 in the morning...one time at 7 in the morning...after all the driving..so we were drinking a lot of coffee.

George turned 20 :)

On his birthday we went out with his dad to a bar to watch the Eagles game.

OH..ok..this sign..during the day, the man in the sign is completely white..but then at night...he tuns black!?...I don't get it.

Then we were to a haunted hay ride....not a fan of freddy kruger. Kept coming up and onto the ride with us..freaked me out.

Dork. haha.

his mother didn't hesitate to show me baby pictures..and as you can see...

nothings really changed.

His mom wanted some last minute pictures before we headed back to Virgina...5 hours.

BUT..on the way there we had a sudden urge to be sponteious....so we got off on an exit...

and decided to stay for 3 hours

run around and try to find the white house.

and as you can see...

we did.

Now I dont know who that lady is...but I know what shes standin in front of.

protestors.

Greenest grass I have ever seen in my entire life.

..I was pretty excited lol

So was he

And you know...I found some kind of irony in the idea of a black squirrel out on the white house lawn...hmm...

MOM. thought of you. I have no idea what this building is, but its got a red cross on it.

Washington monument.

Tryin to figure out how much we could see in 3 hours before having to go get the car.

back of the white house, pretty cool huh?

Capitol building.

Lincoln memorial!

World War 2 memorial

Walking to Lincoln

AIRFORCE ONE!!..look up way in the sky its in the picture as a dot.

comparing the actual thing to the back of a penny...

Yea we're dorks. lol

With the big guy.

Mom the lighting got great right when my camera died....ironic.

We stood where Martin Luther King Jr. gave his speech, gotta admit that's pretty cool.

So. This is when my camera died. Wish George would put up his, but we also went to the Korean War Memorial, and the Vietnam Memorial site. Pretty sad area that was.

Once we got back to Virgina..George wasn't feelin too good. It seems all that driving, walking and no sleep finally got to us.
Then in the morning, we made our way back to Cullowhee, in 7 hours.
Over all we were both pretty sad to see the road trip was finally over.

But it was an amazing trip I am so happy I went on.

Washington D.C. is BEAUTIFUL...well..atleast the part with the monuments and all.

New Jersey was a blast and I loved Philadelphia.

Best of all of it, neither of us got sick of each other during the whole trip.

Unfortunately I did miss something at home...my grandpa turned 80 so HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA!!!

I love you guys, and I miss you all.

Headed home tomorrow around 1, then back to Cullowhee for halloween comin up soon!!

Can't wait to see everyone, love you guys seee you soon!!
